THE WORD OF LIFE - BY REV. PROF. TITUS ADE MARTINS

BE COURAGEOUS
 
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God. ….. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Rom. 8:28-31
 
During a storm a violent guest of wind blew out the most famous stained glass windows in the cathedral, which shattered on falling. The pieces were carefully gathered up and kept in a box in the cathedral. The window was repaired with transparent glass. One day a talented artist offered to restore the stained glass window. Photographs helped him to put the fragments together, and the work was a success that it called forth the admiration of all in the parish.
 
The storms of life, an accident, a death unemployment or financial problems thwart and destroyed many of our plans and intentions. 
 
Everything seems to be shattered. But let us not be discouraged!
 
We need to trust God. If he has permitted a certain disappointment, we may be sure that he has something better in view for us, for He loves us “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Rom. 8:28).
 
The artist was able to restore the original masterpiece accurately, but no more. God, on the other hand, takes our circumstances in hand and transform them to something greater, to His glory and blessing. 
 
He will do so for all who trust in Him. 
 
PRAYER
O Lord let me be courageous when I go through the storms of life in Jesus name.
