ADVANCEMENT FOR PLEASING GOD

“Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God” (1 Thessalonians 4:1 NKJV)

Doing what parents desire is one of the priorities of many children. Someone once said that he did all his best to be successful to please and gain his father's favor and be in his good book. Many children please their parents n marital issues, career, and most time involve them while making other crucial decisions of their life.

Apostle Paul in his letters to the Thessalonians makes it a priority for the Thessalonians to consider pleasing God as the most important attribute of their lives. They are to live to please God more and more. He was of the opinion that, more than how he has repeatedly advised; they should live a life that please God and consider it their life most important goal.

Pleasing our earthly parents is important but of great importance is pleasing God, our Creator and our Lord. We should endeavor to make it the focal points of our lives to please God at all times. Make it a priority every day, to please God more and more all the days of your life. As we make this a habit and our top priority, we will continue to enjoy His fullness, and the manifestation of His grace in our lives.

PRAYER
Lord, fill me with the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to live a life that is pleasing to you.
